Whodunnit?
Supercell challenged us to grow their esports Youtube channel, and give the audience a reason to tune into not just the finals of the Brawl Stars World Championship, but every qualifying round each month from April to October.
Cue mini-series! We created the Brawl Stars Universe’s first whodunnit, which would unfold over eight episodes - each with its own visual style. The narrative was anchored in the tournament: the Championship trophy had been stolen, and we needed the community’s help to solve the case.

Piece the puzzle together.
By tuning into each month’s live broadcast, fans would be the first to catch each episode, crack the easter eggs, and collect clues. We leaned into the audience’s tendency for theory-crafting, letting them connect the dots between even the most obscure links in lore.

A community of sleuths.
The fans came through with enthusiasm! The comment section in both the live streams and episode posts was rammed with hunches and debates. Brawl Stars content creators of all caliber remixed, edited, and analyzed every detail in our films for their own investigations.
This particular fan theory was very convincing.
The grand finale
The game team loved the campaign so much that they modified the game!
They built two special game modes - TROPHY THIEVES and TROPHY PLUNDER - to add to the build up.
Then when the mystery was finally solved, it triggered a new skin drop, confirming which Brawler was the thief all along.
